ONOV
Child Safety Standards
Effective date: 31 August 2026
Version: 1.0
Published by: ONOV LLC, a New York limited liability company
Applies to: the ONOV application on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and the ONOV website at www.onov.com
ONOV has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
We remove such content, permanently terminate the accounts responsible, and report confirmed cases to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or to the appropriate regional or national authority, as required by law.
ONOV is an adult service with a minimum age of 18. It is not intended for or directed at minors.
This document sets out ONOV's published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation. It explains what is prohibited, how anyone can report it, what we do when we receive a report, and who to contact about our child safety practices.
1.What ONOV is
ONOV is a social network operated by ONOV LLC, organised around four interests: Political, Entertainment, Hobbies / Sports and Business. Users create profiles, connect with one another, join communities, and publish posts, polls, events and comments, which may include photographs and video.
ONOV requires all users to be 18 years of age or older. A date of birth is collected at registration and used to confirm this. The app carries an adult age rating on both stores, is not listed in any children's category, and is not enrolled in Google Play Families. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are closed and the associated data deleted.
2.Prohibited conduct
The following are prohibited on ONOV without exception, and are grounds for immediate and permanent termination:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any sexualised depiction of a minor, whether photographic, filmed, animated, drawn, computer-generated or artificially generated. The medium makes no difference.
- Sexualisation of minors — content that presents a minor in a sexualised manner, including captions, comments, hashtags or edits applied to otherwise innocuous images of children.
- Grooming — any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for a sexual purpose, including through profiles, comments, communities or off-platform contact arranged through ONOV.
- Sextortion — threatening to release intimate imagery of a person in order to obtain further imagery, money, or any other benefit.
- Child sex trafficking — advertising, recruiting, arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Solicitation — requesting, offering, advertising or attempting to trade sexual content involving a minor.
- Distribution and linking — sharing, hosting or linking to CSAM, including through external links, codes, or references intended to direct others to such material.
- Facilitation — providing guidance, tools, terminology or contacts intended to help another person commit any of the above.
These prohibitions apply to every part of ONOV: posts, polls, events, comments, profile fields, profile and cover photographs, community names and descriptions, and uploaded media.
3.How to report
Anyone can report child safety concerns to ONOV, whether or not they have an account.
| Route | How |
|---|---|
| In the app | Every post, poll, event, comment and profile carries a Report action. Reports of child safety concerns are prioritised above all other report types. |
| In the app, support | Help & Support → create a support ticket |
| By email | net-support@onov.com — no account required |
| By post | ONOV LLC, 175 Fulton Avenue, Suite 211B, Hempstead, New York 11550, United States |
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the United States you can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or on 1-800-843-5678. Reporting to us does not replace reporting to the authorities, and you do not need to wait for us before doing so.
Please do not download, save, forward or re-share suspected CSAM in order to report it. Report the location of the content and let us and the authorities retrieve it.
4.How we respond
- Prioritised review. Child safety reports are escalated immediately rather than waiting in the ordinary moderation queue. All reports of objectionable content are acted on within 24 hours of receipt; child safety reports are handled ahead of everything else.
- Removal. Content assessed as violating these standards is removed from ONOV.
- Termination. The account responsible is permanently terminated. This is not subject to the ordinary appeal process, and we do not issue warnings for this category.
- Reporting. Confirmed cases are reported to NCMEC through the CyberTipline, or to the appropriate regional or national authority where the user or the conduct is located.
- Preservation. Where the law requires it, we preserve the relevant content and account records for the applicable period so that they are available to investigators, and we do not delete them at the user's request in the meantime.
- Cooperation. We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection agencies.
- Re-registration. We retain a one-way hashed identifier of terminated accounts so that the same person cannot immediately register again.
5.Preventative measures
| Measure | What it does |
|---|---|
| Adult-only service | Minimum age 18, confirmed by date of birth at registration, with an adult store rating and no listing in any children's category |
| Automated screening | Posts, polls, events, comments and profile fields are checked against a list of prohibited terms before publication. Matching content is blocked or held for human review. |
| Human review | Every report is reviewed by a member of the ONOV team. Enforcement decisions are made by a person, not by an automated system. |
| Reporting on every surface | Report actions are available on all content types and on profiles |
| Blocking | Any user can block another immediately, without approval from us |
| No private messaging | ONOV has no direct or private messaging feature. Interaction is public or between connections on published content, which materially reduces the private channels grooming ordinarily relies on. |
| No minor-directed features | No children's content, no youth categories, no features designed for or marketed to minors |
6.Legal compliance
ONOV LLC complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where it operates, including United States federal law on the reporting of apparent child sexual abuse material by electronic service providers under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and the reporting obligations of the jurisdictions in which our users are located.
We report to NCMEC and to regional and national authorities as required, and we retain records associated with such reports for the periods the law requires.
7.Point of contact
The designated point of contact for questions about ONOV's child safety practices, CSAM prevention, and compliance with these standards is:
| net-support@onov.com | |
| Post | ONOV LLC, 175 Fulton Avenue, Suite 211B, Hempstead, New York 11550, United States |
This contact is monitored and is able to respond to enquiries from platform operators, regulators, law enforcement and child protection organisations.
